Three Arch Bay is a private gated community in Laguna Beach, California, that offers grand estates, beautiful sunsets, looming cliffs, and sandy beaches. This area is often described as breathtaking.
Three Arch Bay is located on Mussel Cove in South Laguna Beach. There are high bluffs behind the cove, which is walled off each side preventing access from neighboring beaches. Between the homes you’ll find three stairways that go down to the beach; on La Senda Drive, Bay Drive, and Barranca Way. These luxury homes were built as far back as the 1920s, and amenities include 24 hour security, lighted tennis courts, park, and a basketball court. There is a clubhouse, but no swimming pool for the community.
Three Arch Bay was named from a natural formation that created three arches in a cliffside and over the sand. It’s advised to avoid swimming here because of the strong rip current, as the community does not employ lifeguard stations. Residents are only a short distance from art galleries, shops, restaurants, and entertainment. The Montage resort is nearby with fine dining and spa services. And the closest public beach is Thousand Steps Beach, which offers many caves to explore.
Many parents chose to send their children to private schools such as Anneliese’s School, Montessori School of Laguna Beach, and St. Catherine of Siena Parish School. And the Laguna Beach Unified School District has an excellent program, with highly ranked facilities like Top of the World Elementary School, Thurston Middle School, and Laguna Beach High School. Higher education features Laguna College of Art & Design (LCAD), a private school that offers degrees in illustration, graphic design, painting and drawing, and game art.
Tourism brings millions of people to the seaside resort city of Laguna Beach a year for the surfing, artistic environment, scenic coves, and mild weather year round. The Brooks Street Surfing Classic has been held here since 1955, but only when the conditions are right for the biggest waves.
